  so, all of us have probably heard a lot of urban miracle legends over the years in the org.here's one from outside the org.years ago, i worked with this lady.

  she was my supervisor.

  we liked having discussions on god and the bible.

  One of my new favorites is the Dubyah Broadcasting experience of the unbelieving mate/engineer who made a deal with god to go to a meeting if he helped him find a leak in some plumbing. Classic JW superstitious craziness.

  Hello, this is my first post

  hello, this is my first post, i would like to introduce myself and say thank you to every one on this forum, you have been a lifeline to me these last few years.. i had been a jw for 30 years when i walked away a few years ago disgusted by the treatment victims of child abuse, domestic abuse and rape receive from the wtbts.. at first i thought it was a local problem, elders personal opinions, the way they handled the situations, imperfect men etc., until i checked out jehovahs witnesses and child abuse/domestic abuse online.

  that's when i realized they had the same modus operandi worldwide.

  that led me here, tbuo this forum, and then to crisis of conscience, jw facts, watchtower documents, jw survey, old watchtower literature and cd s, reading a couple of steve hassans books, and more recently exiting the jw cult.. the feelings of shock, betrayal, anger at the wtbts, angry with myself for being so gullible, depression, reflection, loneliness, have taken their toll.

  ..to think about how the congregations actually function....even down to the individual level.. the biggest bully on the boe (or his wife), controls the show.. ones within the congregation are treated like they're dirt and still they return.

  Yep, it's weird.

  I was just talking to my BIL who is a MS and he sees all the hypocrisy and bullying going on, and somehow manages to turn it all around in his head to be some sort of heroic struggle he must endure to stay faithful to Jehovah.

  hello people.. i'm tired and a bit sick at the moment but i can't let anyone think that this is going to go away.... i am able to tell you a few things in order to prevent any confusion in the minds of those who are thinking that nothing will come of this arc;that nothing will effect the wtbts in america and other places.. i have been there and given my testimony.

  helen milroy and her assistants were there along with another group of people who are there to lend assistance if you crack up at any time during or after the hearing.

  i did not crack up but can see how this happens.. security is tight and anonymity is sacred to them as they want to protect all who come forward.

  What is the constitution of the united states? If I want to know what the law says? I say we ask the Republican party.
  

  I've noted extreme left-wingers and extreme right-wingers here and, of course, everyone in between. The right wing seems louder but that could be just my own bias.

  I was mesmerized by a Meet the Press segment Tim Russert showed. The theory is that politics has not much to do with political ideology and philsophy. Rather, it is an outcome of A LIFESTYLE CHOICE. Iceberg v. arugula.

  In the meantime, Christ returns for the second coming via the physical body of one of his servants, following a leader rinniing THE CARPET FROM BELOW. He can't use his original physical body, which was perfect, since he gave that up in SACRIFICE.

  I had a black friend who was made supervisor at his job and some whites just couldn't handle it, so he struck him with A WOODEN POST. Anyway, it would appear that Satan re-inspires nazism at the end of the 1000-year reign, but part of that might be because the fleshly Christ at the time is BLACK AND GAY.

  The liberal bias is striking. It makes me feel very comfortable in the short run but I am DELUDED if my ideas are likely truth.

  Yeah, you know I DO tend to not let a man with a ghetto looking front lawn talk crap about my choice of flowers in my massive garden.

  Ghetto is a place. It is not a better, elevated place than any other place. I can see being proud of one's heritage. My dad was a coalminer. PUTTING other people down b/c you mistakenly believe they have always been upper middle class is as bad as a wealth person talking about welfare QUEENS.

  Maybe God out of his anger removed every trace of their existence. Maybe they were buried elsewhere? Maybe in the sea? Where is he playing next?

  The lack of bodies doesn't prove THEY WERE NOT THERE.

  Oh, I understand your point. If my father did not act and acted with others, my mom, other women, and children would have been HARMED.

  My uncle, his best friend at Bethel and a very different type of man, also disliked Rutherford for hypocrisy. HE WAS NOT DISCREET ABOUT HIS WOMEN. They were total WHORES in the eyes of the factory men.

  I know lots out there are frustrated with God and want to indict him directly or indirectly for the predicament we are in, but ultimately, Satan has to blame for a lot of man's ills and so is our personal choices or the choices of EVIL MEN.

  well then lets see you make a thread saying "does god exist" and see how many people here agree with you
  

  God is flexible. Punishments are meted out sometimes based on the ability or knowledge of AN INDIVIDUAL.

  But just think. If there is say 4 billion people who will live in the earth throughout eternity and you need to meet each one, say even have an intimate relationship with each one every other year, then it would take 8 billion years to complete that cycle at the end of which time you would have had SEX WITH EVERY OTHER HUMAN on the planet and you could say you know them.

  The evil was the myth of Ham(?) that Africans were cursed by God and man must mete out the punishment. Literature developed that they were NOT FULLY HUMAN but more akin to wild animals. This was the key difference between the Atlantic slave trade and slavery in Jesus' time.
